From Military Service to Your Career

Your federal career starts here. We appreciate your service! Congratulations as you embark on the next phase of your career. Finding a federal job can be a confusing reality. Do you want to increase your prospects of gaining federal employment? What’s in it for you? What resources are available to help you navigate the federal hiring process? Attend this workshop and get the answers. This workshop is designed especially for veterans so you can stand out as a candidate as you navigate the federal application process. Virtual Spring 2022 Priority Advising and Registration for Military-connected Students

MILITARY/VETERAN RESOURCE CENTER, ARNOLD CAMPUS, TRUXAL LIBRARY, ROOM 112

Spring 2022 registration opens Nov. 10, so drop in between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and you'll receive: help with the selection of courses that meet GI Bill requirements, assistance with registration, timely processing of GI Bill paperwork, an explanation of the certification process, clarification on housing allowance payments, and answers to any other questions you may have. Virtual Veterans Day Leadership Message

AACC’s annual tribute to those who serve and have served. Tribute messages will be posted throughout the day on AACC’s social media accounts.


NOV. 12, NOON

Virtual Radical Knitting Club

Join the AACC Radical Knitting Club’s virtual gathering Friday, Nov. 12, at noon to hear a reading of poetry written by U.S. Army Reserve veteran and AACC alumnus Edward Calhoon (1942-2014) from his 2008 book, “Vietnam Junkyard and Other Poems.” Crafting with AACC students, faculty and staff happens at the same time. Psychological Fitness for Veterans: Self-care Strategies Workshop

Join us for a virtual discussion on self-care strategies for veterans on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. Letha Valiaveedu, AACC counselor, will facilitate a discussion on post-traumatic growth strategies as well as self-care/resiliency strategies. “Eat Smarter and Healthier” Workshop

“How to get more ZZZ's” Virtual Workshop
