Surviving the Holidays

The holiday season is here! Our family gatherings and the way we celebrate this special time of the year is going to look different for many reasons. To assist with the stressors and worry over what the next month is going to look like, we're hosting two different webinars this Thursday for our students, faculty and staff.

Tips for Surviving the Holidays

Thursday, Nov. 19, 6-8 p.m.

Join our First Year Experience Program and the Office Student Engagement for insights on personalized strategies for managing loneliness, family drama, food access, standing up for your beliefs and values, maintaining healthy boundaries and more! By joining us, you'll learn skills such as:

  1. How to set boundaries with relatives

  2. What to do to not feel lonely if you're spending the holidays alone

  3. Steps to take to maintain your beliefs when they don't align with your relatives' beliefs

This webinar is available to everyone! Register to attend!

Thanksgiving Silver Linings Check-in and Chat

Thursday, Nov. 19, 9:30-10 a.m.

Meet with fellow colleagues in this check-in and chat hosted by AACC's Human Resources department. You'll be able to share what you have been thankful for and what you have learned about yourself in 2020. This check-in is only available to AACC faculty and staff members. Check your AACC email for the Zoom link to join!

We hope to see you at one of these special events on Thursday! Whether you are staying home or getting together with a few loved ones, be sure to stay safe and we hope you have a great holiday!
