AACC
Black History Month: Real Talk

February is Black History Month! Throughout February, AACC will recognize the achievements of Black Americans through a variety of resources and events.
From noon-1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, we'll be hosting an event that we're calling, "Real Talk: Lunch with The Black Family." Representatives from Black Lives Matter of Maryland and local street artist Comacell Brown of Annapolis who advocates for social justice through art join us for "Real Talk." Participants are encouraged to support Black-owned restaurants by ordering lunch to feast on during discussions about the current social and political climate. We’ll reflect on the civil rights work of the past and how the Black family at AACC can contribute – on and off campus – to making Black history as we address social injustices today. A list of Black-owned restaurants will be provided soon.
