AACC
Black History Month: Crab Cakes for the Culture

February is Black History Month! Throughout February, AACC has been recognizing the achievements of Black Americans through a variety of resources and events.
From 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, we'll be hosting a culinary demonstration that we're calling, "Crab Cake for the Culture." Local Chef Zanett Belt, a descendent of Florence Taylor, a famous Annapolis resident known for her extraordinary crab cakes, presents a live cooking demonstration. Join us as Belt demonstrates how to make her great-great-grandmother’s famous recipe. During the demonstration we'll discuss tips and tricks needed to achieve the best crab cake. We'll also discuss the significance of African American food culture. A recipe and shopping list will be provided in advance so participants can cook along with the chef.
