AACC Pathway to a Doctorate of Pharmacy

Did you know that we have a transfer pathway with our students that leads directly into a doctorate degree? We're thrilled to share an exciting new transfer partnership with Howard University where students can obtain a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D). With more than 300 current pharmacist job openings available in Anne Arundel county, this new pathway provides a great opportunity for our students and meets a real need in our community.
Here are the details of the new transfer partnership:
Term: Five years
Start date: Sept. 16, 2022
Qualified students will need to complete all prerequisite coursework for the Pharm.D. program (accomplished through the Transfer Studies [Chemistry concentration] degree)
Qualified students will complete four years of study at Howard University after the completion of the associate degree at AACC
Qualified students are not required to complete the bachelor or master degrees
Qualified students are required to complete the associate degree at AACC (total of 68 credits – two additional Science courses: CHE-253 [Biochemistry] and PHY-111 [Physics])
Qualified students must meet all admission requirements (timely application, GPA, interview, etc.) established by Howard University
